Doctoral Programme (Ph.D.)

The full-time Ph.D. program offered at the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi offers its students the opportunity to undertake pioneering and original research in various fields and aspects of management with the focus on real implications and economics of research. The program is designed to increase academic and practical knowledge. The Faculty encourages applicants to undertake research in the interdisciplinary areas of management, which transcends functional and industry boundaries.

Eligibility Criteria for FMS, Delhi

MBA (FULL TIME) PROGRAMME

• Bachelor’s program after twelve years of formal school study with at least 50% marks in graduation.
• SC/ST: Passing Marks; OBC Non-Creamy/EWS/PWD/CW: 45% as per University Rules
• Weighted CAT 2021 Score – 50%
• Marks obtained in Class X – 10% (60% and above but less than 75%: 5%, 75% and above: 10%)
• Marks obtained in Class XII – 10% (60% and above but less than 75%: 5%, 75% and above 10%)
• Discussion on Statement of Purpose – 10%
• Extempore – 5%
• Personal Interview – 15%

MBA Executive

• A three-year bachelor’s program after twelve years of formal study with a score of at least 45% overall or equivalent in one of the disciplines such as arts, business, social sciences, law, science, mathematics /statistics, medicine, engineering, or Technology.
• At least five years of experience as an executive or administrator in a registered commercial/government/organizational establishment after passing the baccalaureate exam.
• Experience will be determined by April 1 of the year of admission.
• Applicants must present a “Certificate of No Objection” to continue the program with their current employer.

MBA Executive Health Care Administration Programme

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 45% overall or equivalent in MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BUMS/BHMS or Master’s degree with 55% mark in Biotechnology/Genetics/Genetics/Nursing Science/ Biological Engineering / Alternative Systems of Medicine / Medical Engineering / Pharmacology / Anthropology / Zoology or an accredited equivalent test.
• Have at least five years of experience as a manager or administrative position in a public or private health care organization or autonomous/registered or in the medical field after a degree qualified graduate.
• Experience will be determined by April 1 of the year of admission.
• Applicants must present a “Certificate of No Objection” to continue the program with their current employer.

Doctoral Programme (Ph.D.)

• CAT score.
• Exemption from Ph.D. Entrance Examination is for:
1. The them who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) or equivalent national level exam
2. DU faculty members teaching for the past few years.

• Junior Research Fellowships holders who also satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria.

1. Scientists who are working at Research & Development institutes of the Central or State Government with whom the University has signed MoU and fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria.
